Infrastructure

Over 20 years of experience delivering solutions to business, public sector, healthcare and financial organisations has taught us that, first and foremost, the most important thing is to listen.
We have listened to our customers ……. who asked if we could provide not just our market leading software, business process solutions and support, but also all of the additional components such as servers, storage, backup and the associated support and maintenance.
We wanted to ensure that we could achieve this without diluting or impacting our existing focus and skills, so the Board have appointed a Strategic Development Director to grow this business and recruited a highly experienced team (based from our Bristol Office), to provide the specialist skills needed to meet our high standards of service. Between them, the team have over a century of experience in designing, implementing, supporting and managing these solutions.
In addition to the skills and experience, the business wanted a Strategic Partner that could provide a full and comprehensive product portfolio, a demonstrable commitment to product development and committed roadmaps for each product and product area.
Following a review of the major manufacturers and vendors, IBM was selected as the Strategic Partner for servers, storage, hardware maintenance and its software products (Lotus, Tivoli, Websphere, DB2 and Filenet).
Jacqueline Davey, VP IBM Business Partner Organisation, UK & Ireland -
We are pleased that ProcessFlows have chosen IBM to be their strategic partner for Enterprise Content Management as they look to expand the breadth of solutions for their customers. By partnering with IBM, ProcessFlows will be able to provide complete solutions that integrate complementary IBM products with their expertise in Business Process software. Furthermore, working with IBM will enable ProcessFlows to scale their solutions from midrange customers to the largest enterprises. Customers are relentlessly demanding innovative solutions and ProcessFlows will be better positioned to deliver on this.
Our Approach
Whilst we are happy to act in a supply only role we have also developed a suite of professional services that are designed to ensure that you maximise the value from both your existing IT as well as any new purchases.
The approach is based upon industry best practice and standards and each service can be delivered as a discrete solution in its own right. Each of the discrete solutions can be applied to either the whole or individual areas of IT. For example the Analyse service can be applied to server estates, storage, data, service levels, software licensing, disaster recovery, business continuity and skill sets individually or as separate hardware and software levels.
The approach is designed to ensure that the IT strategy and any procurement is aligned to and capable of supporting the Business strategy and delivering the required reduction in costs whilst maintaining or improving the realisable service levels.

Our 6 key services
Analyse
The Analysis offering is designed to deliver a detailed and accurate view of the IT estate as it is. This can cover areas such as:
- Server utilisation
- Storage utilisation
- Data usage
- Data ownership and duplication
- Systems and data recoverability
- Viability of Business Continuity strategy and plans.
This allows ProcessFlows to establish a baseline for the transformation roadmap and obtain all the information needed to deliver a gap analysis against the requirements of the organisation. We are always aware that there has to be a balance between leveraging investment in existing infrastructure, software and skills and new investment in an optimal solution.
Design
The design service delivers both a blueprint for the future and a detailed roadmap to get there. ProcessFlows works closely with you to design infrastructure solutions that meets your specific needs. Any system we implement will be a robust, scalable, flexible environment upon which business applications and solutions can be built on in a modular, cost effective way as your organisation’s needs evolve.
We produce a blueprint for the infrastructure required to support the future business requirements and set out the roadmap to get you from A to B. Documentation and deliverables are standardised and clearly defined – including full details of services, products, maintenance and support and managed services.
Supply
ProcessFlows supplies tried and tested technology. Timescales for delivery are put in place and the tracking and reporting of changes to schedules also form a critical part of this phase. Our experience allows us to deal with the inevitable ‘unexpected’ issues and resolve them quickly with the minimum of delay and disruption.
Implementation
We adopt best practice standards – such as Prince2 and ITIL and embed these standards in the processes and documentation demanded by the highly complex solutions that modern environments demand.
Included in the costs of the implementation is a six-month formal review. As well as confirming that you are satisfied with the project delivery and its every-day functionality, it provides the opportunity to look again at the business requirements, which may have changed since the initial analysis.
Support
ProcessFlows supports clients every step of the way, from initial briefing, through final handover of process documentation and skills transfer to transitional support, helpdesk and eventual ongoing technical support. We provide a menu of options from which you select only the support that you need. To assist with budgeting and predictable cost management you can also include additional services such as health checks, training and software and operating system patch management in the contract.
Manage
Some of our customers prefer not to manage or house their systems. For these customers we provide a suite of services from remote monitoring and management through to complete system outsourcing. Additionally complete systems may be provided under outsourcing or through Software as a Service models.
Hardware
We are able to analyse, supply, architect, implement, integrate, support and manage the following IBM products:
IBM Servers
IBM System Storage
Software
