In late 2008, the Open Text Corporation acquired Captaris and the range of products sold by Avanquest including: RightFax, Alchemy and Captaris Workflow. Along with the many benefits this has brought, it has also lead to many branding changes which can lead to confusion if you’ve not come across them until now. All of the key Captaris products now have the following new names:
- RightFax is now Open Text Fax Server, RightFax Edition
- Alchemy is now Open Text Document Server, Alchemy Edition
- Workflow is now Open Text Workflow Server, .NET Edition
