Open Text Document Server, Alchemy Edition 8.3 Service Release 4
In December 2009, the latest edition of Open Text Document Server, Alchemy Edition (formerly Captaris Alchemy) was released. This updated the software to version 8.3 Service Release 4. With this latest release, Document Server is now supported in the latest Microsoft operating systems, including:
- Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 (32 and 64 bit)
- Microsoft Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit) for Alchemy clients
- File connector on Microsoft Windows 7
The service release also contains a number of enhancements. These include:
- Alchemy Web Parts support on MOSS 2007 (32 and 64 bit)
- Alchemy Web with customizable profile columns
- Enhanced Library Services performance
- Alchemy support for VMware virtualization
- RightFax Archive Link for Alchemy (RALA) with a new licensing model
- Multi-function product (MFP) installer with the primary Alchemy DVD image
