The days of fax machines are numbered… but fax lives on!

The shift from traditional telephone systems to Voice over IP (VoIP) has enabled fax to move from integrating with traditional telephony, to IP integration with a company’s Voice over IP network.

This has meant that rolling out desktop fax within a company is incredibly easy to achieve, as there is no reliance on traditional telephone lines and numbering. The vast majority of Public Sector organisations I visit have one thing in common; they are all wasting approximately £50,000 annually on phone line connections and consumables for fax devices that don’t integrate with line of business systems, waste paper and offer no document security whatsoever.
