John Green is a qualified FCMA and was part of the senior management team at British Gas. His initial roles were within Management and Financial Accounting and later in IT and Business Operations. Most of his career has been within Finance, Business Operations and IT Management.

In 1997 he joined IBM as a Project Executive initially responsible for Barclays Bank Systems and later he headed up the Strategic Outsourcing Data Centre division for Europe responsible for a budget of $400m PA.

He currently runs his own consultancy and training business specialising in financial system developments.

John has been a part time lecturer for a number of years on Financial Strategy for the Open University’s MBA programme. He is a past president of CIMA in the West Midlands and is currently a non-executive member of the global CIMA Council advising on strategy, policy and governance.
